Mental Health First Aid
What Is Mental Health First Aid?
Mental health first aid is the help provided to a person who is developing a mental health problem, or who is in a mental health crisis (e.g., the person is suicidal or has had a traumatic experience). Like physical first aid, mental health first aid is given until the person receives professional help or until the crisis resolves. Mental health first aid strategies are taught in evidence-based training courses authored by Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Australia and delivered by accredited MHFA Instructors across the country.
Heart2Heart offers MHFA Courses as authored by MHFA Australia, delivered by Instructors who are currently accredited by MHFA Australia.
Heart2Heart supplies a broad range of quality AED’s across a range of models. Our wealth of real life medical field and emergency response experience equips us with the applied knowledge base needed to make informed recommendations on the best AED’s currently on the market to suit both the lay person (who may or may not have experience) and emergency responders who pick up where they left off.

These kits are then distributed to remote Aboriginal communities for free.

Don't want to pay a call out fee? No problems! Opt for our self service model and we will post your replenishment kit to you with a prepaid return to sender satchel for all unused items- its that simple!
WHO WILL THE FREE KITS GO TO?
The Long Grass People are homeless Aboriginal people who live in the long grasses on the outskirts of Darwin. Typically they suffer from untreated open wounds, cuts, abrasions, infections and many other first aid treatable conditions. Thala Marlpa currently has networks that regularly assist these people and the surrounding Aboriginal communities including: Bagot, Daly River, Wadeye, Belyuen and Knuckey Lagoon. We also have networks in Arnhem land, the Gascoyne and Pilbara.
